At 709 feet, Yacolt sits higher than nearly every other community we serve in Clark County — second only to Camas at 712 feet, and a long way above Battle Ground at 285 feet, Vancouver at 180 feet, or the low flats near Salmon Creek. That elevation is the first physical fact that shapes every job here. High ground has somewhere to send water. It moves quickly, the surface firms up earlier in the season, and the ground holds equipment weight later into the fall than the riverside communities can.
