Excavation Services in Clark County, WA

Everything we do, grouped by the problem you are actually trying to solve.

Start With the Problem, Not the Service Name

Most people do not arrive knowing whether they need grading or drainage. They know there is water standing where it should not be, or that a builder has asked for a pad, or that a stump is in the way of a driveway. The groups below are organised that way on purpose.

If you are not sure which one fits, describe the problem in plain terms when you call and we will tell you — including when the answer is that you do not need an excavator at all. That happens often enough to be worth saying.

All of this work is done across Clark County, Washington. Where your property sits decides two practical things: which office issues the permit, and when in the year the ground is workable. Both are covered on the individual service area pages.

Building something new

Most new construction starts underground. Before a foundation goes in, the ground has to be cleared, cut or built up, compacted, and drained — and getting that sequence right is what stops a slab cracking in year three. These are the services that come first on a build.

Site Preparation

Clearing, cut and fill, and a compacted pad ready to build on.

Site Preparation →

Foundation Excavation

Footing trenches and over-excavation dug to the engineer's plan.

Foundation Excavation →

Grading & Leveling

Shaping ground to a designed slope so water goes where it should.

Grading & Leveling →

Retaining Wall Excavation

The cut, the base, and the drainage behind a wall that has to hold.

Retaining Wall Excavation →

A water problem

Standing water, a wet crawl space, a driveway that softens every winter. On the low flats the water table is the constraint; up in the foothills the water is already moving and has to be intercepted. Both are solvable, but they are opposite problems and the fix is different.

Drainage & French Drains

Perimeter and interception drains for groundwater and runoff.

Drainage & French Drains →

Storm Drainage Systems

Catch basins, tightlines, and piping to a legal discharge point.

Storm Drainage Systems →

Septic System Excavation

Tank and drainfield earthwork to an approved designer's plan.

Septic System Excavation →

Pond Excavation

Stock, irrigation and ornamental ponds on rural acreage.

Pond Excavation →

Clearing ground

Reclaiming a parcel that has been left alone, or taking down what is there to make room for what is next. How far you need to go depends entirely on what is going on that ground afterwards — and we would rather tell you the cheaper option is enough than sell you the bigger one.

Land Clearing

Timber, heavy growth, and full clearing to a workable envelope.

Land Clearing →

Brush Clearing

Blackberry, scrub, and overgrowth on a neglected parcel.

Brush Clearing →

Stump Removal

Grinding or full excavation — which one depends on what goes there next.

Stump Removal →

Demolition

Structures down, hauled off, and the lot left usable.

Demolition →

Access, utilities and material

The work that connects a property to everything else — getting a machine or a truck in, getting services to the building, and moving material on or off the site.

Gravel Driveways

Base, rock and drainage built to carry a loaded truck in February.

Gravel Driveways →

Utility Trenching

Water, power, sewer and gas runs, bedded and backfilled properly.

Utility Trenching →

Dirt Hauling

Spoil off the site, or structural fill delivered onto it.

Dirt Hauling →

One Crew, One Schedule

Most jobs need more than one of these in sequence — clearing before grading, grading before drainage, trenching before restoration. Running them with one crew means nobody waits on a subcontractor to free up a machine, and there is no argument about who is responsible for the ground between two phases.
